ISC Friday Night Fellowship: Small group get-together this week

Dear friend,
I hope you’re doing well at this time of the semester. As you are striving to achieve academic greatness or just want to survive, be sure to know that you are not alone! We are here to support you~

This Friday we won’t have our regular meeting at Wesley House; each small group will meet on their own (only Teh-Sheng’s group will meet at Wesley House on Friday evening). Please see details and other announcements below:

Small Group Get-together
This Friday (April 27) we won’t have our regular meeting at Wesley House ( Only Teh-Sheng’s small group meet there on Friday, April 27). Each small group will have their own gathering at the time and place they choose. Please contact your small group leaders for more details:

Time flies by, and Semester Spring 07′ is approaching to the end. Come join us for the last Friday Night Fellowship at Wesley House before the summer break. Rotimi is going to cook some wonderful Nigeria food for the group

We have a regular prayer time for the group during weekend at Campus House of Prayer. Everybody is welcome and invited to participate!
Saturday Mornings 11:00 — 12:00 noon

As the weather is getting warmer and the semester is approaching to the end, your campus life must have gotten busier and busier. I hope you can still find time to relax a little and breath a little, and share your burden with those who care about you (like us!). lSC Prayer Time at CHOP
We have a regular prayer time for the group during weekend at Campus House of Prayer. Everybody is welcome and invited to participate!
This week we will specifically pray for those who have been impacted by the campus shooting at V. Tech. Please join us and share your sorrow, compassion, and support for the community of V.Tech. If you have felt troubled by this tragedy in any way, feel free to come by and let us pray for you too.

Invitation to Christian Scholars Forum this Saturday

Statue Hello ISC friends,

Do you believe that God had called you to your specific study field here in UT? Or how your academic training can be integrated with your faith to glorify God?

This Saturday from 11-5pm at UT Union Quadrangle room, 3.304, scholars from different fields will be presenting their vocation in this annual Christian Scholar Forum. They’ll present you their passion in what they are researching in and how thier faith is the sole support for their work. I welcome you, whether you’re a believer or not, to come join us as we reveal the force that drives us for excellence.

I personally will be talking on my research in Parkinson’s Disease during the 3rd panel session in the afternoon. Come and watch me present these wonderful sounds vocalized by my rats Saturday. There’s also a free dinner afterwards!

Hello ISC family,

Our Old Ming has gone, now please welcome the new Ming!!
If you couldn’t make it last Sunday for Ming’s baptism, please check out our Flickr photo site on the right for this warm event on cold Easter.

If you missed Jaeson’s talk at Rezweek, we have it in our video pod right down below Flickr. You will be touched by his passion, but most importantly, the power of the Holy Spirit through praying. Speaking of praying, I encourage you to join us every Saturday morning 11am at the CHOP prayer house. You’ll be amazed how God is answering our prayers.

Ming’s baptism: Location changed!!!

Happy Easter!
Due to the chilly weather, the location of Ming’s baptism will not longer be at Barton Spring. Instead, it will take place at Courtyard by Marriot Hotel (Indoor pool)
at 6pm.
